Come out and enjoy a night of acoustic sets, and open mic opportunities for those interested! Your admission fee to this event will contribute to a group of 6 Registered Nurses (Jen Pardales, Ericka Ruckh, Erin Ross, Donna Abbott, Mary Pat Fowler, & Darlene Wozniak) traveling to Haiti to provide medical relief to the Haitian earthquake victims.
The money donated will be put towards travel costs, tents & sleeping needs (which will be donated to the Haitian people upon the return of the nurses), and medical supplies. Additional donations will be accepted and greatly appreciated during the event.
Any donations in excess of the amount needed for the above mentioned necessities will be donated to the Jenkins-Penn Haitian Relief Organization. Click on the link below for further details. Hope to see you all there to support a great cause!

A.Okay Gallery @ OhNo!Doom Gallery
A.Okay Official is excited to announce that it has recently merged with the urban art hotspot OhNo!Doom for this event: Patrick Ma’s opening “Do You Feel Lucky”. A.Okay curators Lana Crooks and Max Bare bring this show straight from the A.Okay Official Gallery line-up and will continue to expand the fresh atmosphere of their previous A.Okay art events to other locations across Chicago and perhaps beyond.

Patrick Ma’s “Do You Feel Lucky” Show at OhNo! Doom Gallery features the debut of the newest IWG Designer Vinyl Figures, the “IWG Sleepy Bears” Series, and 5 new Vector Illustrations. 3 of the new illustrations were inspired by iconic characters found in classic 1960’s and 1970’s anti-hero movies. As with all sales under the Rocket World label, a portion of the revenue is donated to non-profit Wildlife Conservation Groups.

Sears Tower — and it’s still called that for the time being — will invite its Skydeck visitors to enjoy a view usually reserved for window-washers and superheroes.
It’ll be a walk on the high side as visitors on the observation deck step into glass enclosures that extend 4.3 feet beyond the building. Beneath their feet in dizzyness-inducing splendor will be the city itself, 103 stories below, with an inch and a half of glass between person and pavement. (via Sun-Times)

There is NO way anyones getting me up there unless they let me bring my own harness or I miraculously learn how to fly by June. To all my crazy brave friends out there I’ll be praying rooting for you 103 stories below.
